Euna Lee and Laura Ling to be released

Former President Clinton was successful in his mission to North Korea, and U.S. journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling have been pardoned, and will soon be released. This is encouraging, and we continue to hope for other positive developments from President Clinton’s meeting with Kim Jong-il.


Burma to release political prisoners

Than Swe, the Burmese envoy to the United Nations, has announced that political prisoners are to be freed, following a request made by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.
