Good deeds make you happier

Nicholas D. Kristoff’s column in The New York Times today (click on the link to read it), explores the psychological and health benefits of volunteering and giving to charity, and offers some scientific evidence that people who act altruistically are happier than those who do not.

There is also evidence that those who have faith and practice spirituality are happier than those who do not.

Now get out there and give; donations, blood, charitable work, whatever you can give, even if it’s only a smile. And have faith that your gift makes the world a better place. Live Peace©, every day.
