I’d like to thank everyone who came to Alchemy on Monday night for the second Woodstock Council for World Peace meeting. Your enthusiasm for our peaceful mission was great, and with that enthusiasm and commitment we can make a better, more peaceful world. Special thanks to Nick Martin and Stephanie Izarek at Alchemy for letting us use their wonderful space, and to Nick and Ariel of TD Bank of Woodstock for showing their support.
David Andersson, who represents the World March for Peace and Nonviolence, has invited us to join them on the march’s first day in North America, Monday, November 30, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. in Brooklyn, NY at Borough Hall, where we’ll gather together to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall, where the march will be met by the New York City Council who will present a proclamation for peace, and a press conference will be held. Then the march moves on to Riverside Church, where there will be a celebration and Beyond Violence, a multimedia presentation of inspirational talk and performances.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make our voices heard, so please join us on this very special day.
