Thaw in North-South Korean relations?

South Korea’s leader, Lee Myung-bak, met with a delegation sent by North Korea’s Kim Jong-il on the occasion of the funeral services for former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, recipient of the 2000 Nobel Peace Prize for his work attempting to reconcile the two states.

Before former US President George W. Bush characterized North Korea as part of the “axis of evil”, significant progress had been made between the two states, and we are happy to see signs of positive developments to come.
